pollen + GRACE
Pollen
noun
_____________________________________________
The building block of nature; everything starts from pollen. This represents our all-natural, plant-rich approach to food.
Founded by Steph + Kris in 2015, we’re a female-founded, London-based business on a mission to make eating well easy and enjoyable, empowering you to eat better and feel good.
Grace
noun
_____________________________________________
To have grace; a respect for people and planet.
We started Pollen + Grace in 2015 with a delivery bike, home kitchen, and
a passion to help people eat better.
Frustrated by the lack of lunch options that served both taste and nutrition, we set out to create our own, on a mission to to help people truly feel good through food. With Steph at the helm of the kitchen, she used her 10 years experience as a chef to develop recipes that combine exciting flavours with the natural nutrition of nature. Eight years later, we are so proud to have grown from home kitchen to supermarket staple, and gained the backing of doctors, nutritionists and chefs along the way. And whilst our kitchen and team have grown over the years, our recipes and commitment to honest nutrition have (and always will) stayed the same.
Our promise to you
NUTRITION YOU CAN TRUST
We’re done with ‘healthy’ food that over promises and under delivers. No gimmicks, quick fixes or fads; just genuinely delicious, plant-rich food that helps you feel good.
QUALITY you can taste
Why should convenience mean compromise? We believe ready-to-eat meals should be made with the same quality ingredients you’d find in a restaurant or home kitchen.
With real life in mind
No prep required - we’re here whenever, wherever you need us, from a post-workout pick-me-up to an easy office lunch. Get back to feeling good, even when life gets busy.
Through the years…

2015 - Starting small: we delivered our first ever meal to an old colleague on the 9th March 2015. Back then we had a daily changing menu and delivered fresh, homemade lunches and juices to local offices. We’d hand flyers out at Hammersmith station then cycle home and wait *patiently* for the orders. 20 orders was a good day for us!

2016 - Another milestone: on the 15th of Jan we launched in Planet Organic and our journey into food-to-go officially began! We rented a tiny kitchen in an army reserve centre and as a team of 4, cooked our range of 13 meals everyday. Our meals were £8.50 when we first launched - it took 5 years of hard work to hit our target price, of below £5, without compromising on quality!

2017 - Hairnets and hard work in our first kitchen: we finally moved out of the tiny kitchen we'd been renting and into our very own commercial kitchen. This meant more space, more chefs and we were able to get SALSA accredited, which meant we could go after the supermarkets! Still no windows in our office though… we had another 2 years to go until we could work in daylight (and they say start-up life is glamorous).

2018 - We launch nationwide: salads for everyone! We launched on Ocado on the 18th of Jan 2018 and were officially available Nationwide. It was genuinely *the* most exciting moment. By this point we were a team of 14 (mostly chefs) and our meals were looking a little less makeshift.

2019 - All nighters for Co-op: on 6th June 2019 we launched in Co-op stores across the UK. This photo is our first production for them - it was 4x more salads than we’d EVER made in one day and we ended pulling an almost-all-nighter and roping in the office team to get it done. It’s not a week we’ll be forgetting anytime soon.

2020 - Nourishing the NHS: followed by a year nobody will forget anytime soon. Business as usual was put to the side and it was all hands on deck to support the NHS. We donated hundreds of meals to hospitals across London and partnered with The Doctor’s Kitchen to launch a Limited Edition meal with 100% of proceeds going to NHS Charities Together.

2021 - Making healthy accessible: with Tesco joining our line-up of stockists, it was time to revamp our recipes, increase our portion sizes and pass some savings on to you! We also partnered with the incredible UKHarvest to fight food poverty in the UK. We want to make healthy, fresh meals accessible to everyone and this year we were able to hit some amazing milestones on our way to that goal!
